TV as monitor for MacMini

I have just received my MacMini (16GB/512GB) and am using a Sharp Aquos 32 TV as monitor. I am very disappointed at the poor standard of graphics (text in particular) that I am getting-it is fuzzy/blurry. I get the same result using an LG 27 inch. I have tried changing many settings but have not come across a good setting yet. Is it possible to get good text etc on a TV as monitor or should I purchase a monitor for PCs?

Because TVs were designed and optimized for moving images, static text quality gets compromised unless it is quite large like in advertisements. You may be able to adjust various settings on he TV to improve things like disable anything "auto" in any menu pertaining to the image on the screen or changing the screen resolution on the MacMini.

In the end however, the best display for any computer is one that is designed for computers.

Aha further searching has revealed that this "blurry text" issue on the Mac Mini is a known issue.Several posts suggest software and hardware possible solutions.(search blurry text on Mac Mini). Has me now considering returning the Mac Mini. Very disappointing.

However I have an online appointment booked tomorrow for assistance and this might help.

Well the online assistance simply tried all the steps possible under "system settings" - Display, just as I had done and concluded I need to try a Monitor! I will need to discuss this with Curry's first - if it doesn't work properly I need assurance I can return it without issue?

Strangely the TV text resolution is perfect when I view the same page on my PC.
