how do I remove apps from my iPhone homescreen without deleting them.

Hi, thanks for your reply, but this does not help. Maybe I'm not explaining it correctly. The very first screen I get when I wake up my phone now has two app short cuts plus the weather... I did not ask to have these shortcuts show up here, and cannot get rid of them. Why just these two? How did this happen? Was it the last operating system update?? Very curious! and not appreciated. Do I have to remove allll of my apps in order to remove these from the first screen? yikes. lots I don't want to deal with. Thank you. Stay warm and Merry Christmas!

Hi Lawrence, I guess I'm not being clear. This is on the screen you have to swipe up to get to the rest of the apps. I've held my finger on the app shortcut and nothing happens... No menu appears, no option to remove the app. I just get the. message at the bottom that says "swipe up to open." One of the apps is ok, and I'm ok with having the weather show up here... but I don't need to see the Apple Watch app ever time.

Thank you, Lawrence! I don’t know how I managed to add those widgets to the Lock Screen! Must have been when I changed the font on the time. That took me a week to figure out! They are gone now and I’m happy. I appreciate your consideration and help! Have a wonderful holiday.

Lawrence, this does not work. Here's a photo of my Home Screen - the app short cuts are kind of ghost like. I cannot get them off - this is not my library, it's the very first screen on the phone.
