Apple Screen Time app limits not working

I've done all the steps (run updates on both phones, sign out of both iClouds, sign back in, done factory resets, etc) at least 10 times now and every time it works for a week or so then it reverts back to not working again. Apple Support said my son must be doing something to hack it so on several occasions, I took his phone after he went to sleep, did all the steps (made sure we both had the same iOS, ran updates if needed, signed in and out of both iCloud accounts, etc.) set all his Screen Time settings the way they should be, turned off his phone and put it in my safe overnight. The next morning, almost all of the ScreenTime settings were off with nobody able to touch the phone (it was in my safe overnight)! I've spent countless hours on the phone with at least 6 different Apple Support Reps., to no avail. I'm so done with Apple.

Yeah I agree, I think I am going to stop in my Verizon store today and checkout my other options. Apple has not been doing anything to make the phones better and actually they have been getting worse. How does something as simple as time restrictions not work when it did in the past. Sounds intentional or WOKE which I’m not about.

Did you figure out the issue? It’s been happening to me for weeks and it’s so annoying.

I found this old response and it worked for me. Specifically, turning off "Ask to Buy" and then turning it back on again is what worked. Not all apps locked during downtime in Fa… - Apple Community

Do you have the “block at end of limit” option selected?

Only turning off, logging in and out on seven devices is doable. Maybe I'll try that at least.

What if you have a teen who refuses to let you have their phone?

Has Apple identified a fix for this?

Was it just the child's (children's) devices that you needed to reset the settings? I'm guessing there are many to reset as the screentime settings will take care of most, no?

I have done this with all devices and it has not worked to hold the screentime settings.
