How to change a gmail email password on a Macbook Air

How do you put in a new gmail email password in a MacBook Air? Using Settings, Internet Accounts, choosing the account, details - only asks for the account name, it doesn't allow for a password entry.

Via 'Mail', it comes up with a message to 'enter the password' via the 'browser' but when I choose that option it goes to another small white page and goes nowhere.

Hello!

If you're asking how to change the account password, I believe this helpful Google Support article should help:

Change or reset your password - Google Help

If you're asking how the update your Google account with the new password on your Mac, go to System Settings > Internet Accounts, then select the account you'd like to update. Click "Delete Account". Then, go back to Internet Accounts, and click "Add Account" using your new credentials.
