Apple ID expiration scam?

I got a text message saying that my Apple ID was expiring. That's a scam, right? I have used my Apple ID since receiving that message and it still works!


Apple IDs don't expire, right?

FACT: You received an unsolicited text message.

Translation: An unprovoked threat to your account security requires your immediate response.


Nothing was expired because you are using your account here in this community.


This is a scam!!


If you receive a suspicious email or SMS text message that looks like it's supposed to be from Apple, please email it to reportphishing@apple.com. 
