iPad OS HomeScreen Blur

Hey there,

Does anyone know if or when the iOS 16 feature of being able to ‘blur’ your HomeScreen background in Wallpaper customisation will be coming to iPad OS 16?

It’s something I had craved for years for both my devices, as the wallpaper backgrounds can just be a bit much with apps then loaded on top of them; the blur feature is wonderful at just softening everything and allowing for easier navigation and focus.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Best

Unlike iOS16 for iPhone, iPadOS 16 for iPad does not [yet] support lock screen customisation. Likewise, the new active Astronomy and Weather Wallpapers are currently exclusive to iOS16.x for iPhone.

Beyond information publicly released by Apple, we have absolutely no insight into Apple’s product development or release roadmap. Whether or not lock screen customisation will ever be released for iPad, we have no idea.
