Coreduetd using 100% of one CPU core at all times

Hello, I have noticed my MB Pro 14 is a lot hotter than usual (idle temps went from lower 40s to mid 50s), so I investigated and found a process called "coreduetd", which consumes 100% of one CPU core. I found out that it has something to do with Handoff, so I have disabled handoff, I tried to kill that process, restart the mac, even tried to disable the daemon, but no luck. I also reinstalled the newest macos, and still the problem persists. How can I disable the process? Literally the mac is uncomfortable to hold on my lap as it gets warm, and I guess the battery life also suffers from it. Below is a screenshot with given process. Thank you for any help.

Hi hricvladimir,

We see you have a process using significant resources on your Mac, and you've tried reinstalling macOS. Have you tested in safe mode yet? This would be a good way to narrow things down, as it prevents third-party items from loading along with a few other things.

Check out this link for the steps, as they'll vary depending on your Mac processor: How to use safe mode on your Mac

Once you boot into safe mode, see if the same behavior occurs. Once you test, you can click Apple menu () > Restart to get back to normal. Let us know the results, and have a good day.

Hi,

Thanks for letting me know that safe mode prevents third party apps from loading. However, I managed to fix the issue by factory resetting the MacBook. After that I have disabled Handoff and the proces does not show up in activity monitor. But again, Thanks for answering.
