Strong friction with apple pencil after cleaning

I've cleaned the iPad screen with this product https://www.meliconi.com/en/product/c-200/ , afterwards I've noticed more friction in some areas when I used my apple pencil. Rubbing my hands on the screen makes it much smoother, but as soon as I clean away the fat the problem re-emerges.

I've seen there are products that can restore the oleophobic coating, should I try those or just get a screen protector of some sort?

iPad Pro, iPadOS 16

I do not know what this stuff is, but you should be ONLY using either a dry microfibre cloth OR, to more easily remove skin/fingetprint oils, use a warm, but very damp dry microfibre cloth to remove oils from your iPad screen.

Forget any type of “screen cleaning solutions” in a bottle.

Do not mess with your screen anymore. You may make this situation worse and NOT better.

You maybe stuck using a screen protector now.

To maintain good screen contact with the Apple Pencil either use a thin-plastic film sceen protector or if a glass screen protector, find a glass screen proetctor with the thinnest thickness dimension avaialble.

Really thick glass screen protectors can interfere with the iPad touch interactions as well as affect Apple Pencil functionalities.

When cleaning your iPad or other Apple devices, you should follow Apple’s own guidance:

How to clean your Apple products - Apple Support

Use of other cleaners or techniques may damage the device - its screen, or its associated anti-reflection and/or the sacrificial oleophobic coatings. Screen-cleaning should only be attempted when absolutely necessary; over-cleaning will shorten the life of the screen coatings.

Use of a screen protector is largely personal choice - but there are considerations.

iPad screens are robust, but the anti-reflection treatment and oleophobic coating can be easily damaged by tiny grit/dust particles that are unavoidable in many environments. The oleophobic coating is a chemical sacrificial layer that will wear-out over time.

Your iPad screen is the single most expensive component of your iPad - whereas a screen protector is sacrificial layer that, if damaged, is easy and relatively cheap to replace.

Zagg and OtterBox are amongst the better manufacturers of tempered glass screen protectors - with good reputation.

Some users comment that a glass screen protector makes the screen slippery when using the Apple Pencil. The alternative is a matt/textured film screen protector - but these have three principal disadvantages.

1) The textured film reduces clarity and contrast

2) Accelerated wear of the Pencil tip, necessitating frequent tip replacement.

3) No impact protection
