Starbucks shortcut on Apple Watch iOS 16

I have been using the Starbucks app on my watch for years; recently, when asking Siri to order Starbucks, I get a reply, "Allow order Starbucks to access Starbucks," when I select an option it keeps looping back. I have tried to uninstall the apps on the watch and phone, rebooting and resetting settings. Nothing seems to work except an occasional update from Apple then it reverts, any ideas.

Hi jammin12,

You've already taken some great steps already with your iPhone and Apple Watch Ultra. Are you able to order Starbucks via Siri on the paired iPhone for your Apple Watch? We want to see if this issue is happening on multiple devices or only your Apple Watch Ultra.

Another step you could also take is to ensure that both your iPhone and Apple Watch are fully up-to-date. Updating to the most recent iOS version can be helpful in overwriting any issues the current iOS may be experiencing, if applicable.

If needed, the steps below show how to backup and update your iPhone:

"Update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly

  1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
  2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
  3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
  4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
  5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do."

Those steps are from this article: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support If needed, the steps below cover updating your Apple Watch Ultra:

"Check for and install software updates

  1. Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap My Watch, go to General > Software Update, then, if an update is available, tap Download and Install.

You can also open the Settings app on your Apple Watch Ultra, then go to General > Software Update."
