Music Stops on HomePod Minis Since 16.2 Update

I have 5 HomePods Minis in my house. Ever since updating them to 16.2 (along with upgrading the HomeKit architecture), I've had nothing but issues with music just stopping on my HomePods. A few songs will play, maybe 4 or 5, but then it just stops. I have Apple Music, I'm not AirPlaying from my iPhone (although I've tested that as well, and it still stops), I've restarted AND factory reset my HomePods, but the problem persists. I can see that every time this happens, a JetsamEvent gets created indicating a crash has occurred. When reviewing the JetsamEvent, I can see that the largest process is "mediaserverd", but the reason is "none".

Is anyone else experiencing a similar issue? The core functionality of my HomePods is broken and defeats the purpose of having them.

HomePod mini, 16

Hello robt5017,

It sounds like you've tried some good steps already. If all of the HomePods are connected to the same network, it may help to try restarting the modem/router of the network they're connected to.

If you do happen to continue to have issues afterwards then you may try reaching out to Apple Support to have it investigated further. This link can help reach out: Get Support

Cheers.
