Pen for iPad Pro 12.9
What is the best pen/stylus to use for the iPad Pro 12.9 model a 1671. I lost my Apple pen and don’t want to pay $130 again for a new one.

You own a 2017, 2nd gen, 12.9 inch screen IPad Pro, the best stylus IS ONLY the original, 1st gen Apple Pencil.
There are really no other smart Bluetooth stylus that matches all the complete functionality of the Apple Pencil.
Another option is the cheaper Logitech Crayon that is almost identical in function to the Apple Pencil and uses the same Apple Pencil replacement nibs, but the Crayon lacks screen pressure sensitivity.

Next option down from the Logitech Crayon is the much older, but still available Adonit Pixel, which requires compatible apps required to pair this stylus inside of the app and are specifically coded for this stylus.

As now almost all iPad models support either the 1st or 2nd gen Apple Pencil, the amount of compatible Adonit Pixel apps has dwindled, considerably, over the last 4 years,or so.
Here’s my “up to date”, comprehensive, but still incomplete, list of Adonit Pixel compatible apps for the iPad/iPad Pro.
MOST apps listed support both screen pressure sensing and palm rejection, unless otherwise noted
Compatible Adonit Pixel apps for drawing
Animation Desk
Amaziograph
ArtRage
ArtRage Vitae
Art Studio Pro ( fully supports the Adonit Pixel and is just as great as Procreate on the iPad )
Colored Pencil
Comic Draw
Concepts
Forge ( drawing/sketching/concept/ideation app )
Interactive SketchBook
Medibang Paint
Vectornator
Zen Brush 2
Compatible Adonit Pixel apps for Notes and Notes with drawing types of apps.
CollaNote ( palm rejection ONLY! Such palm rejection settings within App. NO pressure sensing for thin to thick/light to dark lines)
GoodNotes
INKredible
Note Shelf 2
Notes Writer ( palm rejection improved using special, non-electrical conducting, lycra-based material drawing glove )
QuickNotes X Pro ( palm rejection ONLY. No pressure sensing for light/dark or thin/thick lines )
uPad
Zoom Notes
PDF Pen
This is pretty much it for Adonit Pixel compatible sketching/drawing/painting/note-taking apps.
This stylus works with other non-compatible apps, too, but without any palm rejection and/or pressure features.
You can use this stylus with other apps but will not be able to lay your palm on the screen, while you write or draw, unless you use special, non-body electrical conducting, lycra-based material drawing glove that works by isolating your hand/palm and allow you to lay your hand/palm on the screen as you draw in these non-compatible Adonit stylus apps.
Something like these found on Amazon.
Many more makers of these types of gloves found on Amazon and in different hand sizes, as well!
Best of Luck to You!

Locating a Lost Apple Pencil:
Use of "Find My" and Apple Pencil:
If Find My was enabled with these, then you may be able to find them there. Note that this is based off of the last time the device they were connected to was itself connected to the internet. This is because they do not have their own IP Address. So, use a site like Mapquest to backtrack to this location.
Locating Lost Apple Pencil:
A. Go Here: How to Find your Lost AirPods, AirPods Pro, or AirPods Max - Apple Support
B. Backtrack your Locations:
When it comes to finding a lost Apple Pencil, you only option is to backtrack your locations. This is because Apple Pencils are not assigned their own IP address. If seen in Find My, then the location provided is based on the last time they were synced to a device that is synced with the same Apple ID. So, if at a library recently, then stop in, asking the librarian, if they have come across it, and placed it aside.
B. Lost-&-Found:
Chick with the Lost & Found department of the facility you were in, seeing if it has been handed over.
C. Contact Local Authorities:
See if the community police, or local security guards at the front door, can across it.
D. Use Craigslist:
Put a post on Craigslist, seeing if they have been found.
