Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

"An Apple Watch now has access to your iMessage" alert although nothing in account settings seems to have changed

Every now and again when I unlock my iPhone I get a message saying "Device Added to your Account, An Apple Watch now has access to iMessage. If you don't recognize this device, you can remove it in settings." When I go into settings I see no new devices, much less an Apple Watch. The only apple watch there is my old Apple Watch s3 that I've had for about 3 years now. Can anybody tell me what's going on?

The message you're experiencing is expected when a new device is detected as being used on your Apple ID! This can happen if your Apple Watch has spent some time disconnected from your iPhone and connects again or if you've reset your Apple ID password.


A complete list of places you're signed in to with your Apple ID can be found by following these steps: Check your Apple ID device list to find where you're signed in


If after taking these steps you have any concerns, continue here: If you think your Apple ID has been compromised
