Install DVD Player?

Can I install the Mac DVD Player w/o a full installation? Or better, download it? I believe that I deleted it while changing from a failed DVIX program to a often successful VLC program (w/its more codecs) A friend suggested that the Mac player would be better than the VLC player even while using the rest of the VLC program.

oh i see, your advice is for me to get to 4.11 and im already there. But, still, why wont the 4.9 combo updater work for me?

Ten.Four.Eleven is greater/later than Ten.Four.Nine, and 10.4.11 is as far as Tiger/10.4 will go. 🙂

Oh ,good grief! Ive been multi-tasking and cognitive fragmentation is sometimes the cost. I looked at the first 1 in 11 and compared it to 9! Thanks. Well, anyway, most of my dvds now work, at least the last time they played.
