Songs say ‘the content is not authorised’

Since I installed iTunes Match some tracks on my windows ITunes and my iPhone can’t be played and state this content is not authorised. All my devices are authorised, the tracks are shown as purchased and downloaded. However my iPad Pro can play them. These tracks were on the pc and iPhone before I installed the Match app. The iPad I hadn’t installed music, that’s why I bought Match. Other tracks on the album do play on all devices. I’ve tried every suggestion I’ve found and none of them work. My iPhone is the principle player of my music. Can someone help? I have to say it’s not been a happy experience installing iTunes Match for instance play lists have changed as well. Here’s hoping….

Thanks for the response. I have only 4 devices authorised so that’s ok. My iPad will play the album songs that the pc and iPhone won’t! I’m buying a new pc and will load iTunes on that and see what happens when I sync with iTunes Match. It really is quite confusing. Why is the iPad different from the iPhone, both of which are newish devices? I’ll report back once I have the pc and loaded iTunes……

The new laptop is up and running with the latest iTunes running on Windows 11. Its fine and shows and plays all the music. The iPhone of course still won’t play the 5 tracks off the album that the others will. Still says “cannot open” ‘This content is not authorised’. The other 7 tracks all play. How can some tracks not play and all play on my iPad and windows iTunes? It makes no sense at all. So it must be something to do with the phone. I’m about to restore my iPhone 8 as basically an iPod so we’ll see how that goes! This must have happened before surely? Help!
