Air pod max not working

My airpod max’s were working fine and then started bugging weirdly. The songs kept getting skipped and Siri kept activating. After I had disconnected from them and tried to reconnect it worked but the buttons on the max’s to change volume or activate noise cancellation don’t work. I tried holding down the reset buttons and everything but I can’t get sound out, can’t use the buttons, and the only seem to connect to my phone. Idk what the problem is

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities elgrivi,

You mentioned disconnecting your AirPods Max, and reconnecting, which was a good step to take. You also mentioned using the reset buttons. Were these the steps you used?

To restart or reset your AirPods Max:
• First, charge them for a few minutes.
• If you're experiencing issues with your AirPods Max, you can restart them. Press and hold the noise control button and the Digital Crown until the LED flashes amber.
• You can also reset AirPods Max to factory settings. Press and hold the noise control button and the Digital Crown for 15 seconds, until the LED flashes amber, then white.
• After you reset your AirPods Max, you can connect them to your iOS or iPadOS device, or connect them to your Mac or other device.
