Can I jump from my currently installed iOS Catalina on my iMac 2020 to iOS Ventura? I use my computer for my business and I'm afraid something will go wrong with skipping over two prior iOS system updates (I never installed Big Sur or Monterey).

To me, that suggests I take a more cautious approach, for pease of mind if nothing else.
Do you have specialized business apps (accounting; project planning; etc) that may have system version limitations?
Do not upgrade if you have any Have you "cleaning", "optimizing", "speed-up", anti-virus or VPN apps on your Mac? If so remove them first according to the developers instructions.
