Battery recall serial number issue

I have never changed my battery on my Macbook pro 2016, it was on. plans to change my battery (it was on battery recall program) but I noticed now that through my serial number that my battery has already replaced which is not true. why? and what can I do?

I believe what the support document says is EITHER:


your particular serial number has already received this service -OR-


your particular serial number was never covered by this program.


Apple only issues recalls after it has done extensive research into EXACTLY which serial numbers might be impacted by the production issues it uncovers. Your specific unit appear to fall outside of the ones impacted by the production problems it uncovered.


If your battery is now failing, Apple will not be paying for the replacement. Luckily, the repair is not that expensive, typically under US$250.
