Closing apps on restart

Hi,

Is there a setting on the iPhone, such as on the Mac, where you can set it to not relaunch applications on start up? I quickly ended up with a lot of open applications on the phone that clutter the app switcher. It would be great if I could find a way on reboot of the phone not to immediately reopen all the previously open apps.

Thanks very much.

Hi there Tom Wolsky,

Thank you for posting to Apple Support Communities.

This is how iOS is designed to work for iPhone. It's expected behavior for an app to remain in a suspended state after a restart:

Switch apps on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Apps that are in a suspended state aren’t actively in use, open, or taking up system resources.

Take care.
