using itunes

Just purchased my new ipad and would like to play my itunes library on the ipad. I have the itunes app on my PC which has a library of ripped CDs. I have downloaded an app on the ipad called remote and have switched on homeshare on the PC and the ipad.

The library has appeared on my ipad under the the remote app but when I click on a song instead of playing on the ipad it plays on the PC.

Nothing appears on the ipad under the music app. Should it?

Just can't figure out how to play my library on the ipad.

Can anybody help.

Thank you.

Your iTunes Music Library must be synchronised with your iPad. This will create a copy of your Music Library, including your legitimately copied CDs, to your iPad - where they will be accessible via the iPad’s Music App.
