Latest update to OS doesn't seem to work with my LG monitor. Anyone find a fix?

After updating to OS 13.0.1 my laptop started restarting itself and having kernel panic errors. I've isolated the issue to my LG monitor and it doesn't happen when I disconnect the monitor but why is it happening at all? I never had this issue before this last release. Is there any way to fix it?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 13.0

Can you verify your software is up to date…

The current stable release of Ventura including bug fixes, security updates is macOS Ventura 13.1
