I bought a new Macbook Pro laptop. It doesn’t have usb ports. I bought a hub that works with the Thunder 4 plug in. When I connect my Apple dvd drive in the usb port, it tells me it has to have power and to plug it into a usb port on the laptop which it doesn’t have. I know the hub has power going to it because the light on it is on. Is there something I need to do to make it work?

an apple superdrive needs to be connected directly to the Mac to function. it will not work if you connect it through a dock or hub. and for Macs that only have TB3 (USB-C) ports, you need an USB-C to USB Adapter to connect it directly to the Mac.
