How to Stop Music from automatically playing

How do I stop music from automatically playing when connecting or disconnecting from Car-play? The music app is not open when the iPhone is connected via lightening cable, Car-play opens, music from a playlist on my iPhone starts to play. Stopping music which is now present on the iPhone Lock Screen, disconnect the iPhone, music starts to play. I can’t find anyway to delete/remove the music app from the iPhone lock-screen. Please help!

Hello MajikS,

CarPlay allows you to pick up where you left off. Meaning, once connected to a vehicle, it will automatically start playing whatever was playing last on your iPhone. There is no way to prevent this from happening and you'd be unable to remove the Music controls from the Lock Screen.
