I'm on WiFi, messages won't send.

I have my WiFi turned on. However, my messages aren't sending. Every time I want to send a message I have to turn my data on.

MMS (picture) messages can only use cellular data, they can’t use Wi-Fi because your carrier’s network that carries the messages doesn’t know about your Wi-Fi connection.
