iPhone 14 Pro Max - Painful in Ear ringer and alert tone sounds

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We can understand the concern. After setting the volume for your alerts, you want to make sure that :Change with Buttons" is not enabled on the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Doing so will prevent notification and sound from changing, and lock it to what ever the slide displayed. Go to Settings > Sound & Haptics, and make sure that setting is switched to Off. Hi, I got the same problem, the notification sound is killing my ears when I’m talking to someone! How can I soften it or off the sound during a call? The only solution now is to silent my phone during a call to prevent incoming notification to ring into my ears. I don’t have this problem in my previous iPhone. Only happen in my iPhone 14 pro max. Please fix this problem or is there anyway to fix this problem in settings?
