Disable touchID

Even after toggling the touchID off for everything and restarting the IPad, it continues to ask for TouchID to unlock passwords. How do you disable it beyond using the toggle switches on Touch ID?

Touch ID Not Completely Disabled Thought I understood this from another of my posts, but apparently I don't. I have Touch ID and Autofill Passwords OFF in as many places as I can find in Settings, but it's still popping up and allowing me to use Touch ID. E.g, I can open a password protected Keynote presentation using Touch ID. happens on both iPad 7th gen and iPhone 6S. Seems to be ok on iPhone 14 Pro (Keynote requires manual entry of password, Face ID doesn't work) TIA for any guidance.

You can completely disable TouchID by deleting all registered fingerprints:

Settings > TouchID & Passcode - for each registered fingerprint, tap, then select Delete Fingerprint
