PRINT ERROR
Trying to print on Brother HL-L2320 with MAC Ventura 13.1 . Error message says stopped , "filter" failed ?? Help

It sounds like the app containing the document you are printing may be using "filters"? It would help to know the app being used and perhaps even the type of document since some apps may handle multiple document types.
Or is the "filter" referring to the printer's hardware filter instead of some software "filter" ability within the app? Check the printer's LCD menu on the printer itself to see if any notices are displayed on the actual printer which may indicate a hardware issue with the printer.
Are you using Air Print drivers or did you download & install the printer drivers from Brother?
Does this happen to other documents or apps? Try printing a simple text file as a test. Sometimes it is possible to print a test page if you open the printer within macOS (check the printer in the System Settings app for a test print option).
