Creating a comp for easy editing from separate tracks.

My friend Mars sent me 5 Sax solos. They are on 5 separate tracks. They are all aligned perfectly. I would like to create a comp so i can easily swipe-edit them. Is this possible?

Sure:

Step 1 select all the regions you want in the Take Folder

Step 2 Go to Functions>Folder>Pack Take Folder

garage band merge of midi tracks Is it possible to merge two MIDI tracks into a single track, with the resulting track keeping all the notes from both tracks? I want a "merge" in the true sense of the word - a product that contains the contents of both tracks layered one upon the other. To be clear, I am not asking how to merge or Join regions within a single track; I am not asking how to overwrite one to the other, which thereby eliminates the notes of one in the process. My goal is to ultimately use the Score button to generate the musical notation for export that is the composite of the two MIDI tracks' notes in one piece of music. Using GB 10.4.8.

Comping Genius? Hello all, This is the situation. I have a session with acoustic drums. 12 tracks, each one a different microphone. 45 takes on each track. I have a “Master Comp” track in addition to these, which consists of all 12 original tracks, semi-mixed. So, the question is, is it possible to somehow take what has been comped on the “Master Comp” track and apply it to the original 12 drum tracks without having to “quick swipe” each track individually? Thank you for your time and hopefully this will help others save some time in the future.
