Hi nknafe,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! The current iOS version is iOS 16.2, we would recommend updating as updates can often help. To update, please follow the steps below:

Update your iPhone or iPad

1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.

Hope this helps!

Have a great day.

Hello nknafe,

Let's use the steps below to make sure your apps are also up to date:

1. Open the App Store.
2. Tap your profile icon at the top of the screen.
3. Scroll to see pending updates and release notes. Tap Update next to an app to update only that app, or tap Update All.

You can find those steps in this resource: How to manually update apps on your Apple device That should help to further isolate a potential software conflict.

Should that still persist, how much available space is listed under the Settings > General > About menu?

What is listed for the maximum capacity of your battery under the Settings > Battery > Battery Health menu?

Let us know, and we'll take further steps from there based on those details.
