Transfer transit fare card to new iPhone

I had a DC Metro transit fare card in Apple Wallet on my old iPhone 11. Yesterday I transferred everything (data, apps) to my new iPhone 14 Pro, but the fare card does not show up in Apple Wallet. I tried adding it, but it wants to take a photo of the physical card. I don't have the physical card anymore -- it became unusable after I started using Wallet for my transit trips). There is a balance of $39.00 which I'd hate to forfeit.

The old phone is now erased and on its way back for trade-in value. So should I call Apple support or Metro tech support (usually unhelpful, and closed for the weekend). Thanks and HNY
