Can iPhones be effected by files?

I was using a third-party email service on Safari and I got a strange email. When I tried to delete it, it tried to download the attached file that probably had a virus. Is there a way to check if I have a virus? I have an iPhone 13 mini with iOS 16.1.1. The files app does not have any strange files and I was using cPanel’s (cPanel is a website editor) Webmail via Roundcube. Both are perfectly trustworthy, but the email was not. I can’t find any way to check for a virus in the Settings app. Please help!
