Apple's silicon chip (M1) seems to be preventing my printer from functioning. How do I fix it?

Apple M1 MacBook Pro doesn't work with Epson Surecolor P6000 Standard printer. Worked fine with Intel based MBP Laptop OK, so talked with Epson, Did firmware update, software (s) update for the OS X 12, made sure the laptop had the latest stuff. Also tried the Intel-M1 translator. Nothing works, Epson is baffled and suspects the OS X software-M1 chip as the problem. Anyone out there with this difficulty? Have been using this with a USB connection. Will try Ethernet (yes, a reverse cable) between the Epson and the M1. Then will try going to the network and do an IP address connection. This should not be necessary. My tech says it is an Apple M1 problem, not an Epson problem? Anyone have a clue what next to do? My business has stalled for 6 days now. About to toss the M1 and go back to my other Intel based Laptop. HELP!

MacPro 2023 won"t print to Epson R2880 My new MacPro 2023 with the M2 chip will not communicate with the Epson Stylus Photo R2880 printer. I have removed and added the printer back and disconnected all the cables and power and nothing seems to work. Ideas??

printer not working after 13.1 update Hi, after the 13.1 MacOS update, my Epson printer is not working/connecting. Following is my environment and steps thus far. Hardware/Software - MacBook Air, 8Gb, M1, MacOSX Ventura 13.1, Epson ET-3700 printer, all connected on home wifi network. Steps done so far: Remove then add printer. Printer shows in the add printer dialogue box, click add, but then fails at the 'setting up' dialog box with the error message returning 'Unable to communicate with the printer at this time' Reset Priniting system, then re-try the steps above. Same result. Download drivers from Epson web site and get similar error when trying to connect to the printer. Check drivers on printer, uptodate no problems there. Check other Apple/Windows devices on the network, all can see, connect and print to the printer. Try steps above multiple times, same result. Thanks in advance for any advice.
