New Apple Air Tags not working
New Apple Air Tags not working - will not find the lost item - They are 3 days old and was purchase at RC Willy ( Furniture/Electronic Store) I went to Face Book and was told they sell NON APPLE Items - even though I have an official Box etc. Hard to Believe! I am very dissatisfied with the Air Tags! I expected them to work the same as the Find My Phone ! I left my phone one day at School which was about 45 min away. I use the FINE MY PHONE and was able to track the phone as a Friend pick it up for me - Notice them driving back home on the Freeway! I misplaced my Car Keys ( actually left them in the car accidentally in the Garage) I used my NEW air tags ( purchased a 4 pack - $100) Went to my iPhone 8 and went to the Air Tag set up - Pressed PLAY SOUND - Could NOT hear the sound and I was 15ft Away ( in the kitchen) ( Car in the Garage) and It stated can not connect - aka - out of range! It stated to Walk around and try to get in a closer range - I walked into the Garage - Still said NOT in RANGE! I gave up and picked up my SPARE Car Key - Jumped in the Car and there was the Original Keys sitting ON the Arm Rest! I'm NOT happy with this product! I have an iPad/MacBook Pro & iPhone and usually 110% happy with Apple! I'm hoping I have a Defective 4 pack of air tags. My 1st CHEAP Amazon tag works WAY Better than the Air tag! What's Wrong ? Can Apple Help me before I return? Hate to Waste $100! I see on ads that they can Track my Luggage ( like at an air port) Heck if I can't track my basic car key how does in track luggage ?? Thanks for your help!
