iPhone, 14+ battery drainage

I just purchased last week a phone 14+. The battery appears to drain very rapidly, listening to music for 4 hours with no other apps open, the battery draining to 50%.

is this normal?

Thank you

It's not uncommon for iPhones to experience some battery drain when using certain features, such as playing music or streaming video. However, a 50% battery drain in just 4 hours seems excessive and may indicate an issue with your iPhone.

Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the problem:

  1. Check your battery usage: To see which apps or features are using the most battery on your iPhone, go to the Settings app, tap "Battery," and then tap "Battery Usage." This will show you a list of apps and features that have used the most battery over the last 24 hours or the last 7 days. If you see any apps or features that are using an unusual amount of battery, you may want to try closing them or limiting your use of them.
  2. Turn off the "Always On Display" feature: As you mentioned, the "Always On Display" feature can drain your battery. To turn it off, go to the Settings app, tap "Display & Brightness," and then toggle off the "Always On" option.
  3. Check for a software update: Make sure that your iPhone is running the latest version of iOS. You can check for updates by going to the Settings app, tapping "General," and then tapping "Software Update."
  4. Reset your iPhone: If none of the above steps help, you may want to try resetting your iPhone. This will erase all your data and settings and restore your iPhone to its factory default state. To reset your iPhone, go to the Settings app, tap "General," and then tap "Reset."

I hope one of these steps helps resolve the issue you're experiencing. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
