iPhone 14 plus - coverage expired - less than 1 month since activation .

Hello all,

my wife has an iPhone 14 plus A2885, purchased new sealed in box from a store here in Toronto. Store is a large reseller of electronic gear.

phone was purchased December 8th 2022. Activated the same day. Monthly AppleCare plus was added 2 days later. Warranty coverage was shown correctly in the phone.

Yesterday , Jan 1st, I was looking in her phone and see it says “coverage expired” , says the same thing on the Apple website as well.

Why is the phone showing coverage expired ? Phone support also expired.

subscriptions page show next payment for AppleCare plus due on January 11th 2023.

Phone works as usual.

I will also try calling Apple tomorrow to check.

Thanks.

Settings - general - about - here it says coverage expired.

when I click on the “coverage expired” line , it says paid repairs / service and phone support available.

Below that, I see the blue “Apple support “ app. When I hit open , go to manage subscriptions, it says AppleCare plus for 14 Plus, next bill date January 15.

Below the manage sub button, I have check coverage button. When I click that , it says my devices - this iPhone plus - coverage expired.

very weird.

has anyone seen an issue like this ?
