My iPhone wont automatically make a call from websites.

My iphone wont make calls anymore from websites phone numbers. It used to without any issue, then I received a message asking if I wanted to allow or block the call - I pressed allow but nothing happened. Now my phone just freezes when I try to call a number from a website. I saw others recommended to erase safari settings on the phone which I did, but that didnt help. Nothing seems to work - any ideas why this is happening?
