Can I still import music and voice memos from my phone to my computer through iTunes/Music?
I recently started using a slightly newer MacBook, a 2017 MacBook Air, running 10.15.7. On my last laptop, I was able to plug in my iPhone, an iPhone 4, open iTunes, and import the music and voice memos onto the computer. On the newer one, plugging in the phone causes it to pop up under "devices" in the sidebar, and clicking on it there shows me a list of my music and voice memos, but I can't interact with them aside from highlighting them. Control clicking the phone gives me the options to "transfer purchases," which doesn't do anything, as my purchases are already on the computer, and "sync." The only other button onscreen is "sync settings," which pulls up a Finder window that seems to be entirely related to transferring things from the computer to the phone. Did they get rid of the ability to transfer things from the phone to the computer through iTunes syncing? Did they replace it with iCloud? Or am I just missing something?
Every tutorial I find tells me to do it how I used to on my old laptop. They all mention the phone icon and all the old sync settings, checking the "include voice memos" box and all that, but none of that is here from what I can tell. I would obviously not prefer to email all of my voice memos to myself individually. If iCloud is my only option (if it even is an option with my iPhone 4), let me know and I'll try it, but if possible I'd just prefer to sync with iTunes. Any help is appreciated.
