Apple TV A1469 cannot autheticate to iCloud?

This was working before.

I enter the username and pw on the Apple TV.

Then I get a 2FA alert on my iPhone with a 6 digit code, which I enter back into the Apple TV.

But I get an error message about iCloud not being available.

Can’t sign in to iCloud on Apple TV 2 (A1469) i logged out of iCloud and can’t log back in. My password is correct, and 2-factor is on. I get a 2-factor code from my phone, enter it, and subsequently I get the following error: Unable to sign in iCloud is not currently available. Try again later. It is running Apple TV Software 7.9 (8163).
