Cursor not working

Hi, my iMac (M1) cursor stuck to its corner. Force quit all open apps but cannot force quit and relaunch Finder. Can I switch from Touch Pad to using a Mouse ? Thanks.

Two possible things: or a major crash, or perhaps a physical problem with the trackpad.

Click and hold the power button to force shutdown.

Make sure that the trackpad is clean (no liquid or other stuff) and flat (if the trackpad is uneven, it could indicate swelling of the battery, in which case you should take your mac to service).

Try starting your mac again. Odds are it was a one-off, and your mac is now working normally.

You can certainly try a mouse.
