Unknown app camera

There is a tiny green dot on the top right side of my phone and I think it’s because and unknown app is using my camera. How do I turn it off?

Hello ADEYS_07,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand you have a concern with an unknown app using your Camera on your iPhone. Let's walk through some steps to see if we can get it to stop. First, we'd recommend force closing all open apps on your iPhone: Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch

1. From the Home Screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause in the middle of the screen.
2. Swipe right or left to find the app that you want to close.
3. Swipe up on the app's preview to close the app.

Then Restart your iPhone.

Check to see if the Camera is in use again. Reply back to let us know how these steps do for you.

Take care.

Hello,

Exactly the same message appeared on my screen last night Jan. 5. However, for me it was a one-time message and not continuously present. It was the first time I saw it and it disappeared after a few seconds. I have not been able to recreate the message by performing the same actions. I have also already looked in the settings for the apps that access my camera and microphone, but there is nothing crazy among them.

I closed all apps after the notification and restarted my phone. Nevertheless, I would like to know what could have caused this notification?
