how to make a genius bar reservation

Sadly it is not that easy. For some unknown reason, Apple purposefully annoys its own customers so we waste time looking on the site to book an appointment for the genius bar at the store. Rather than simply having a link, you are forced to download the support app and then go through a chat to have someone book it for you. The least customer friendly approach a company could devise. Apple - we are trying to go to your store where we will probably spend more $$ - make it easier for us! CRAZY

Sorry but if I want in person help, I should be able to have a link to make an appointment. Period. I can choose other options such as chat or even YouTube but I don't need to play hide and seek and waste time when it should be a simple customer friendly link when the customer already knows what he or she wants.
