App icon and folder icon are different In Files App

After updating an application from the App Store, the Apple Files app still shows the old app icon on the updated app’s folder. The app update included a new app icon. If I select “Get Info” for the folder, the new icon is shown in the resulting dialog. but not in the folder view.

Hi there keithrdavis,

If an app icon is not showing as expected in the Files app, the first thing we would recommend is to restart your iPad using these steps from Restart your iPad since this refreshes the software of your device:

1. Press and hold either volume button and the top button until the power off slider appears.

2. Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off. If your device is frozen or unresponsive, force restart your device.
3. To turn your device back on, press and hold the top button until you see the Apple logo.

Also ensure your iPad is fully updated. This installs feature enhancements and bug fixes that can resolve unexpected behavior like this. This shows how to back up and update: Update your iPhone or iPad

If this continues after restarting and updating, then the app developer would be the best equipped to look into this issue further. Use this to reach out: How to contact an app developer

Cheers!
