I have a folder icon in Files app that indicates the folder contains one file. However when I open the folder it is empty. I need to fix this so can delete the folder. Also if you know a simple way to delete the folder I’d really appreciate it.
I am running iOS 16.5 on a generation 6 iPad.

Your questions about how to use iPhone are certainly not silly. You have supplied just the right amount of detail about what you tried, what you saw, what you expected, etc.

Really?
You should simply press on the folder icon in Files and choose “Delete Folder” from the resulting drop-down.
