IOS 16.2 icon folders - IPad 9th gen

IOS 16.2 icon folders are useless. Icons are so small.You spend too much time trying to recognize what they are. Might as well remove all folder content and search for individual icons. Why would this release change something useful to inefficient?

Yes, there is extensive beta testing by developers - plus there is a public beta programme that you can join should you choose to do so. As with any beta programme, it is inadvisable to install beta software on your primary device.

Returning to your problem, if standard iPad settings are insufficient for your needs, you’ll find Accessibility settings that will further enlarge elements of the screen display:
