How do I save email attachments/files on my iPhone to folders on my Time Capsule?

Remember that Apple discontinued the Time Capsule almost 5 years ago and that it was never designed to interface with an iPhone or iPad.
For example, you cannot back up an iPhone or iPad directly to the Time Capsule, only to a Mac or PC.
It would be really clunky to forward an email to your Mac and then save the attachment to the desktop and then copy / paste the attachment to the Time Capsule hard drive using the Finder.....but it would work, if you have the patience for this.
