Why are the sun icons red?

Why is the sun icon on my iPhone weather red?

sp ~ If the following is set On, see if turning it Off helps:

Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Increase Contrast

Thank you! That was the problem. The icons just recently turned red, and I've had the same display settings for years, so I don't get it. But thank you for replying with good information!
