iMac G3 wireless internet issue

Hi, I have an older IMac G3 that use to connect to my Motorola router, when my internet provider upgraded there service they changed the router and now when I try and connect to my internet via WiFI I keep getting a message that says WEP key incorrect, can anyone help me figure this out, I thought abut trying to hook it up with an ether net cable to see if that may work or going into the router and changing the settings on it.

Hi,

An older iMac G3 (with an internal 802.11b AirPort card) may not be compatible with modern routers. You should not use WEP security. The minimum would be WPA2. There are two solutions:

a) A direct Ethernet cable connection to one of the LAN ports of the new router, as you also indicated.

b) A wireless connection via a wireless Ethernet bridge, or a Wi-Fi range extender with Ethernet bridge capabilities (Edimax EW-7438RPn Mini is just one example), connected to the Ethernet port of the iMac G3.
