iCloud password not working for https://appleid.apple.com/sign-in

Hi there

I've been trying to access https://appleid.apple.com/sign-in and https://register.apple.com/placesonmaps/. Both log-in pages reject my Apple ID password although that still works for accessing iCloud on all devices...

I've had a look through various threads and while it seems as though this may be fairly common I haven't found a solution or an explanation.

Any thoughts?

Hi Dave,

We'd love to help out with the issue you're having, if it is still unresolved. What you're describing sounds like there may have been a system outage. If the issue is resolved, and happens again in the future, we recommend checking "System Status" to make sure this isn't the issue first.

If the issue wasn't related to that, we would recommend double checking the credentials you're using to sign in on the web, as they are case sensitive.

You may also want to try clearing your cache' under the options at the top of Safari, Safari > Clear History.
