Junk mail suddenly flooding my iCloud junk folder.

I've set up a specific rule to send the junk mail to trash upon closing Mail which is working, but wondering how to initially block the mail from getting through. Would changing my iCloud password help? In the many many years I've been using Mail, I've never had this problem on such a huge scale. This morning I had 41 junk mail messages.

I closed Mail, and all went to trash, but how are they getting through?

Depending on Who you e-mail Provider is - some ISPs or Third Party e-mail Services may allow the user to Log into the Web Interface of their Service.

Some but not all may have a way to ConfigureA Server Level to Filter / Append " Junk " and / or outright Block e-mail addresses and or Domains.

If that is possible in your setup - this may capture the Offend e-mail address or domain before it races you Inbox / Junk Folder and they will never be received at All.

Ah, the trials and tribulation of the Junk / Spam on Internet

They are alway reinventing new ways to annoy us 👍
