AirPod Pro 2nd Gen Find My Issue

I have a new pair of 2nd Gen AirPod Pro headphones, I lost them yesterday, I found them but I am unable to get the “play sound” option to work in Find My. I am currently connected to them with blue tooth, I have tried with the case open, the case closed, and with them both out of the case and connected, is this a known issue, any suggestions in case I lose them again?

Hello Gsomea,

To play a sound on your AirPods using Find My be sure your settings mirror those found here: Find your lost AirPods

Play a sound on your AirPods

If your AirPods are near any of your Apple devices and connected to Bluetooth, you can play a sound to help you find them. With AirPods Pro (2nd generation), you can also play a sound to help find your charging case.

1.Open the Find My app.
2.Select the Devices tab.
3.Choose your AirPods from the list.
4.Tap Play Sound to play a sound that gets louder gradually.

Should the issue persist re-pairing your device may help resolve the behavior you're experiencing: Connect your AirPods and AirPods Pro to your iPhone

Regards.
