Screen time not updating

Hi, my son has an iPod touch gen 6 running iOS 12 (the latest it can be updated to). We set up screen time on Christmas Day and it only updated for one day. Now it just shows screen time for Boxing Day only and won’t update. I see other posts saying updating to iOS 15.2 fixes but this is not an option for us. How do I fix this?

Greetings jimmytt74,

If you are having difficulty with Screen Time, begin by making sure all settings match the recommendations found here:

Use Screen Time on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Use parental controls on your child's iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

"Allow changes to other settings and features

You can allow changes to other settings and features, the same way you can allow changes to privacy settings.

  1. Go to Settings and tap Screen Time.
  2. Tap Content & Privacy Restrictions. If asked, enter your passcode.
  3. Under Allow Changes, select the features or settings that you want to allow changes to and choose Allow or Don't Allow. "

Take care.
